You can search RL-SAGE tags with the following options:
  • Tag Sequence

    • A wildcard search using * can also be performed in the sequence. Type the part of the sequnce you know and use an asterisk (*) for parts you don't know. For example, CATG* will give the search results for all the tags since all tags start with CATG.
    How to use Advanced Search to search tags [ Top | Back ]
      This section describes how to search for tags using the Advanced Search page.
      1. Select the libraries to be included in the search results. Select the criteria AND/OR you want to use:  
  • Choose AND if you want the tag to be present in all the selected libraries.
  • Choose OR if you want the tags to be present in any selected library.

    •   2. Optional: Select the libraries which should be excluded in the search results. Select the criteria AND/OR you want to use for these libraries.
  • Choose AND if you want the tag to be excluded from the search if it is found in selected library.
  • Choose OR if you want the tags to be excluded from the search if it is found in any selected library.

      6. Click the Submit Query button to start the search.

      This section describes how to use search filters to restrict the search results.
     
      Minimum number of tags for included libraries
      You can restrict the search results based on the tag count or the tags per million (tpm). This will restrict the search to include only those tags that have the tag count or tpm value equal to or greater than the value specified for the included libraries.
      Minimum number of tags for excluded libraries
      If you selected to exclude tags from certain library then you can restrict the search results based on the the tag count or the tags per million (tpm) values. This will restrict the search to exclude tags that have tag count/tpm value equal to or greater than the value specified for the excluded libraries.
      EST Contig Hits
      You can filter the search results based on the number of EST contig hits by the tag. For example you can restrict the search results to show only those tags hit at least one EST contig.
      Number of Genome hits
      You can filter the search results based on the number of Genome hits for the tags. For example you can restrict the search results to show only those tags that have exactly 1 genome match.
      Annotations
      You can filter the search results based on the presence or absence of types of annotation for genes that the tag hit (Gene and UniProt).

    Output Options [ Top | Back ]

      You can specify following options to display on the results page:
      Number of records per page
      You can select to display 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100 result items on a single page.
      Show columns
      You can select the columns that you want to be displayed on the results page.
